Tesla Model S Plaid ‘delivery event’ Set for June 3rd. Tesla Model S Plaid which it has been teasing since 2019 is now ready for its public launch.
Tesla says it will host a “deliver event” on the 3rd of June in Fremont, California, at its factory.
Elon Musk, the CEO of the company tweeted this some days back.
Though we are not so sure when Tesla is planning on making the vehicles available to its customers. And Tesla hasn’t also said anything yet on when the upcoming Tesla car will be released.
The upcoming Tesla car is a step above the Ludicrous trim level of Tesla. And Elon Musk says that the vehicle can sprint from 0-60 mph in less than 2 seconds.
And can as well reach speeds of about 200 mph.
Tesla CEO, Elon Musk also said that the upcoming Tesla car will get a range of 520 miles, and this very well above the highest range models of Tesla. The car will be priced at $139,000.
Elon said the car will be the “fastest production car ever”.
The Tesla car made its debut in 2019 at Laguna Seca raceway. There it overtakes the popular California road in 1 minute and 36 seconds.
The powertrain of the Plaid is given as part of the broader refresh for the Model S and the Model X of Tesla, having new exterior designs as well as simplified interiors.
The car is the first main refresh for the two cars since they were released in 2012 and 2015 respectively.
Yes, there will be a delivery event in June, however, there is no single comment on actual customer deliveries that could pinpoint another setback for the speediest EVs of Tesla.
Customers who place orders for the Tesla Model S Plaid in January were told to expect their deliveries to start in April, this report was according to InsideEVs.
The Release Date of the Tesla Model S Plaid Where Shifted to July
Later, the company mentioned that those dates were being shifted to July.
It is obvious that Tesla is not hardened by the challenges facing the whole auto industry. Not excluding a global semiconductor chip shortage and supply chain problems.
During an April earnings call, Elon Musk mentioned that the deliveries of the refreshed Model S should start shortly. But he didn’t mention the particular date.
Following the announcement on the company’s website, the deliveries of Tesla Model S Plaid are expected to be released between August till September.
Whereas the Plaid X Model will not get to customers until January – February 2022.
And the Plaid Plus versions of the two cars having an extended 520 miles of range, will not be released until mid-2022.
